Welcome to CREATE ART DAILY

I didn’t go to art school.

I never studied art in any way.

I got an A in my scene design class…for effort.

My dad was an artist and he tried his best to teach me perspective; it didn’t work.

That being said, I love art. I love to create. And I don’t care if I don’t get perspective.

I used to teach art to elementary school students and loved every minute of it. No, I didn’t teach them perspective. But, I taught them how to be creative with many different mediums.

I taught using the TAB philosophy: Teaching Artistic Behavior.

I still follow that philosophy with myself and I CREATE ART DAILY!

Art in the Wild

So, I got this idea to share art with unsuspecting people in unsuspecting places. Surely, to discover a piece of art will bring a smile to someone, right?
I save jars…applesauce…mayo…etc…those that have wide mouths.  After washing them, I create a small piece of art and put it in the jar with this note:

Hello!
It is my goal to share art with all people, have them discover it in unusual places, and create a smile for the finder.

I call it Art in the Wild.

When you find this little work of art, please send me an email and let me know when you found it along with the number on the bottom of the jar. Please recycle the jar~thanks!

Hope you enjoy your little piece of art!

I also have a note taped to the inside of the jar that states that I am sharing art in random place and to "please take me home."  I number the bottom of the jar, take it with me when I go out and then carefully hide it in plain sight.

I hid my first one at the base of a bush at Trader Joe’s today. Hopefully, someone has found it by now!  And hopefully they will email to let me know...
